A Simpler Way to Find a Tree Service
Tree care is high-stakes work. Improper pruning can permanently damage or kill valued trees, and dangerous removals put lives and properties at risk. Yet most sites that claim to help you find a tree service are lead sellers: they take your details and pass them to whoever pays.
We built TreeServicesNear.me to change that. We are a plain directory of tree service companies across Florida. We show who works in your town, their Google rating and how to reach them. We don't vet or endorse the companies listed, so we also show you how to check one yourself before you hire.
Our Core Philosophy
Honest About What We Are
We are a directory, not a referee. Listings are not endorsements, and our guides explain how to check insurance, registration and credentials yourself.
Zero Commission Fees
We never take a cut of the work or sell your details. You deal with the company directly, and it keeps what you pay it.
Hyper-Local Focus
Florida only. Our guides cover Florida tree species, local permit rules and hurricane preparation.
How the directory works
Where the listings come from
Listings start from public business information: the company's name, address, phone number, website and its Google rating and review count. Ratings are Google's, not ours, and each listing links to the reviews on Google. Any tree company can claim its listing free and correct or add to it.
How the order is decided
Each town has one Featured spot, which a company pays for. It is labelled Featured and always shows first. After that come companies that have claimed their listing, then everyone else by Google rating weighted by how many reviews it rests on. You can re-sort any list by highest rating, most reviews or name.
What we check, and what we do not
We remove listings we find have closed, and refresh details from Google from time to time. We do not check licences, insurance, credentials or workmanship, and nothing on a listing is verified by us. Credentials and years in business appear only on claimed listings, as the company's own statement. That is why every page points you to the four checks to make before you hire.
How the site is paid for
By the Featured spots and by building websites for tree companies. We do not sell leads, take commission on jobs or pass your details to anyone. When you call or email a company from a listing, you are contacting that company directly.
The guides
Our Florida tree care guides are written for homeowners. Legal points come from the Florida Statutes and state agencies, tree care points from University of Florida IFAS publications and the International Society of Arboriculture, and each guide links to its sources. Spotted a mistake? Tell us and we will correct it.
4 Checks to Make Before You Hire
We don't vouch for the companies listed. These four checks take a few minutes and protect you from most bad jobs.
Ask for Proof of Insurance
Ask for a Certificate of Insurance showing General Liability and Workers' Comp, sent to you by their insurer.
Check the Business Is Registered
Look the company up on Florida's Sunbiz register and ask for its local business tax receipt.
Read the Recent Reviews
Listings show each company's Google rating and review count. Read the newest reviews, especially any about damage, no-shows or price changes.
Get It in Writing
Get a written estimate that says what is removed, whether the stump and clean-up are included, and the total price.
